Philadelphia's 2020 Homicide Rate to Surpass Last Years | Philadelphia Caller

Philadelphia, Pa. - According to the police department statistics, Philadelphia has now surpassed last year's homicide numbers.


 

Police Homicde RatePhiladelphia's homicide number has now reached 356th of the year, equaling the toll for all last year and now 38% ahead of last year's numbers.

According to authorities, today's shooting occurred in the Lowe's parking lot in South Philly, in the middle of the day.

The 21-year-old was shot nine times just after 1 p.m. Monday and was taken to Jefferson University Hospital.

The victim was pronounced dead a few minutes after the shooting, and no arrests have been reported.
