Philadelphia, PA - On Friday, July 16, 2021, the Philadelphia-based concert promotional company, Dope Shows, will host its first live show of the year at the Mann Center in Philadelphia. This celebration of arts and urban culture includes headliner Lil Durk. Dope Shows plans to reignite the concert experience they brought to their hometown before the global pandemic.
First Hip Hop Show In Philadelphia Since COVID Aims To Give Back To Philadelphia Youth
Dope Shows co-founders Stephen Piner and Jamir Shaw are excited to bring their community back together for a concert with Hip-hop’s most prominent artists. A portion of the ticket proceeds will go to youth-based causes and initiatives in Philadelphia. School district students will participate in a meet-and-greet with performing artist Lil Durk. Dope Show’s goal is to allow artists to share positive messages and encouraging words during a meet-and-greet style event; the youth will have the chance to attend the concert.
Dope Shows Co-Founder Jamir Shaw and Steph Piner said, “It’s our connection to the local cities and cultures that distinguish us from other promoters and agencies. We have been working diligently to create an unforgettable experience from production to our artist lineup. If you’ve been to our shows before, you know — Ain’t No Shows Like DOPE Shows.”
Philly’s own, Wallo 267, will provide positive content during the show. Pastor Carl Day will provide an active platform that encourages the youth to find better outlets, as he believes that violence can be preventable, and Philadelphia youth need access to safe, quality communities, caring adults, adequate paying jobs, community programs, and events that provide experience and hope. He’s looking forward to engaging in dialogue about activities that can reduce violence, improve opportunities for youth, and encourage innovation.
Attendees of the upcoming Dope Show concert can expect live hip-hop performances, independent brand vendors, and sponsorship activations. Guests can purchase tickets at www.dopeshowsonline.com.
