PHILADELPHIA - The Eagles had to settle for a final score of 38 to 35 to defeat the Lions in Philadelphia on Sunday. Eagles Quarterback Jalen Hurts finished with 243 passing yards and 90 rushing yards, plus a touchdown, but Philadelphia sealed the win with Miles Sanders' 24-yard run on third-and-2. The Eagles had the lead and were able to run down the clock.

Philadelphia is expected to contend for a division title this season. Under new head coach Nick Sirianni, the Eagles will be competitive in the NFC. The team has made a few changes since last year, including addressing some needs and getting some key pieces in place. The running game is good, and the offensive line is strong. However, the defense is a concern and will need to improve to keep up.

With an improved running game, the offense should be able to make more third-down plays. That will help the offense produce more yards, especially against a talented Philadelphia defense.

The Eagles had a good group of wide receivers to throw to, with AJ Brown adding to their depth. Even though the Philadelphia offensive line was able to hold its own against a weak Lions defense, but the defense must prove that they can keep up if the team wants to continue the wining.
