Laurel is a modern French-influenced restaurant with a quaint, cozy atmosphere. The Restaurant features a 24-seat dining room and a wine list that offers a full a la carte selection, and BYOB is permitted for a corkage fee. Laurel serves a daily changing seasonal menu and has a surprisingly large selection of wines.
The Restaurant is owned by Nicholas Elmi, who won Bravo's Top Chef season 11 and is a member of the Association of Food Journalists. In addition to Laurel, Elmi owns In the Valley, on East Passyunk Avenue. And the chef has been recognized as one of the best chefs in the world, earning awards from the Philadelphia Inquirer and GQ.
