Philadelphia, PA – Last night, 3,000 elegantly dressed guests descended upon Rittenhouse Square for the ninth edition of  - Philadelphia. Guests have the opportunity to dine in one of the city's most iconic and picturesque parks while enjoying exciting entertainment and returning to the origins of Le Dîner en Blanc, a secret pop picnic in the park.

After putting a pause on in-person events last year, Le Dîner en Blanc is excited to return to the traditions that truly make the occasion ever memorable. Rittenhouse Square, designed by French architect Paul Philippe Cret, and located in the city's French Quarter, is the perfect pairing for this elegant event that began in Paris more than thirty years ago.

Philadelphia's Le Dîner en Blanc 2021 Rittenshouse

Rittenhouse Square is the fourth of William Penn's original five squares to host Le Dîner en Blanc Philadelphia. The first event was held in Logan Circle in 2012, followed by Franklin Square in 2017 and City Hall in 2018. Rittenhouse Square is characterized by magnificent architecture, perfected landscaping and is at the center of one of the city's most picturesque neighborhoods.

Organizer Natanya DiBona says, "Not only is Rittenhouse Square a beloved and beautiful public space in Philadelphia, but it's rich in French culture and embodies what the event strives to celebrate: community, friendship, fine food, and the arts."

Organizers planned the use of Rittenhouse Square with the public in mind. In addition to leaving a portion of the park open for the enjoyment of the community, Le Dîner en Blanc collaborated with Heart & Paw to provide Rittenhouse Square's furry friends with treats, tennis balls, and bandanas (white, of course)!

Feast Your Eyes Catering delicious cuisine with a plethora of dining options like cheese plates, entrees, and dessert samplers are a few of the menu options for a tasteful evening. Petit Jardin en Ville is returning to offer flower bouquets. Le Dîner en Blanc guests were encouraged to buy a bottle of wine from One Hope, an online wine store that donates a portion of their sales to organizations that provide access to clean water, hunger relief, health research, and education. One Hope is a proud partner of the Friends of Rittenhouse Square. Le Dîner en Blanc is happy to align with the following organizations for this year's event.
