Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) is pleased to announce that Malini Doddamani has been selected as the new Chief Marketing Officer of PHS. Doddamani will oversee PHS’s Marketing function, consisting of Creative Services, Sales, Marketing, and Communications for the 194-year-old organization that uses horticulture to advance health and well-being.


 

Pennsylvania Horticultural Society Appoints Malini Doddamani as New Chief Marketing Officer

As a part of the PHS Executive Team, Doddamani will help further PHS’s Vision 2027 plan, a strategy that fully commits PHS to use horticulture to advance the health and well-being of the Greater Philadelphia region through dedication to four key impact priorities:

Creating healthy living environments, Increasing access to fresh food, Expanding economic opportunity, Building meaningful social connections.

Doddamani will engage a diverse community of more than 300,000 supporters, volunteers, and gardeners and grow PHS’s brand recognition as a horticulture leader.

“We are excited to be bringing such a talented and experienced individual like Malini Doddamani into the PHS team. Her efforts in leading the Marketing department will advance the organization while promoting our values and impact priorities within the Greater Philadelphia region,” said Matt Rader, PHS President.

Doddamani has spent her career working on national and global brand recognition, marketing, and media relations for academic institutions and non-profits, including The New York Academy of Medicine, Yale University, the University of the Arts, and St. George’s University. She recently served as the Head of Marketing for Ctrl M Health, a digital health and wellness platform. Previously, she was Chief Marketing Officer for the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, where she led the implementation and adoption of digital marketing solutions for the School and Museum to a national and international audience. She spent eight years at The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania, creating and implementing integrated global communications and marketing strategies.

She will take over the CMO role from Lisa Stephano, who retired as CMO after 40 years of leading PHS’s brand image, reinvention of the Philadelphia Flower Show, and other successful business endeavors for the organization.
