KING OF PRUSSIA (April 17, 2021) - Soon, it won’t just be spring in the air; it’ll be the aroma of tandoor grilling and authentic Indian spices once again delighting guests at Choolaah’s Town Center location.

The Monday, April 26 reopening of the innovative fast-casual restaurant concept is great news for its fans after a year-long closing that began with the pandemic and continued as Choolaah KOP used the downtime to reimagine both its technology and its floorplan for an even more elevated guest experience. Its strong fanbase, devoted to Choolaah’s crave-worthy menu, artsy design, and friendly community vibe, kept the support coming as the Choolaah team finalized the renovations.

Always at the forefront of emerging trends in fast-casual dining, Choolaah KOP was already developing its branded Choolaah app, reward/loyalty program, and other new ideas when the pandemic hit last spring. Seeking to make mango lassi out of mangoes, the team decided to complete the new technology platform and reimagine the Town Center floor plan, retaining its signature open-kitchen concept while downsizing the square footage optimal flow and efficiency. Through a glass, guests can still watch their food prepared in their custom-built 700° tandoor ovens. Or, if they’re in a rush, they can order ahead for easy pick-up, curbside, or delivery. In the end, the goal was to ensure that Choolaah’s physical space worked as seamlessly as its technology to create the best possible guest experience when the doors finally reopened.

As for menu changes, Choolaah-heads can rest assured that their favorites are back, in addition to new hot and chilled Chai beverages, a Kids’ Choolaah Bowl, family-style meals for four and more. “Choolaah loves being part of King of Prussia’s Town Center, and we can’t wait to welcome back longtime guests, meet new ones and rededicate ourselves to being their favorite place to eat,” says Co-CEO Raji Sankar. “In fact, the updated KOP location will set the tone for our likely expansion into the Greater Philadelphia region shortly.”

Ms. Sankar is also recommitting to the Choolaah Gives program, a cornerstone of all Choolaah locations. “Our mission is to change the world, one samosa at a time, starting with the communities we call home,” she explains. “Within our first month of reopening, we will partner with more than 25 King of Prussia/Greater Philadelphia-area non-profits to donate a percentage of our sales to their organizations.” Year-round, Choolaah Gives will continue to support other local non-profits’ fundraising efforts as well.

It goes without saying that Choolaah remains at the leading edge of safety standards and adheres to all state and federal guidelines regarding COVID-19 regulations and best practices. Guests can also rest assured that Choolaah’s ever-popular Wash-o-Matic hand-washing station will continue to provide hospital-grade hand sanitation in every location--not to mention fifteen seconds of good, clean fun with every us.
