HERSHEY, PA – Tröegs Independent Brewing and Harrisburg University of Science and Technology have announced the 2023 Harrisburg University Summer Concert Series schedule.

“We’re thrilled to partner with such an iconic regional brewery like Tröegs to present the fourth installment of our Summer Concert Series,” said Frank Schofield, HU Director of Live Entertainment and Media Services.

Set at scenic Riverfront Park in downtown Harrisburg, PA, this year’s concert series features five diverse shows from various respected artists.

Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, with special guest S.G. Goodman kicks off the series on Wednesday, July 26. Formerly a member of Drive-By Truckers, Jason and his band will serve up a blend of introspective storytelling and good old Southern grit.

Other confirmed shows include the return of Philadelphia hip-hop legends The Roots on Saturday, July 29; acclaimed Seattle indie folk band The Head and the Heart on Saturday, August 26; and LA-based indie rock quartet Mt. Joy on Friday, September 16.

Also, the series recently added Trey Anastasio and his Classic TAB on Sunday, September 17. As the guitarist and co-founding member of the iconic jam band Phish, Trey's music transcends the walls of traditional rock, and his 4-piece side project is sure to display plenty of instrumental virtuosity and bring an eclectic mix of musical styles to the table.

“After a successful season in 2022, we jumped at the chance to partner with Harrisburg University again this year,” says Tröegs co-founding brother Chris Trogner. “A beautiful outdoor venue, great music, and local beer … what more could you ask for?”
