Cape May, NJ - Montreal Beach Resort (1025 Beach Avenue) is going to the dogs. A beloved and cherished Cape May tradition is back. Montreal Beach Resort's Doggie Day Pool Pawty returns on Sunday, October 30, 2022, from 12:00 pm Noon to 4:00 pm.

Years ago, after uneventfully closing their pool each season, the owners decided that it would be fun for one day a year to let the pups jump in for a dip. Over the years, this fun way to close the season became a larger community tradition that now raises money for the Animal Outreach of Cape May. Madison Resorts and new owner Dan Alicea bring back the event and want to continue the tradition after a two-year break.

“As the new owners of the Montreal Beach Resort, we feel it's important to bring back certain events that are great for the community. I’ve always been a dog lover myself, and I can’t imagine a better way to close our pool each year. This should be fun!” - Dan Alicea, Owner of Madison Resorts

Doggie Day Pool Pawty will take over the entire pool area for this special one-day-only event that is also the final day of Montreal Beach Resort's summer season. The event starts at Noon and runs through 4:00 pm. Each participating pup will not only enjoy a final Halloween weekend dip on the pool but will also be entered in a raffle for a basket valued over $100 donated by Hounds Town South Jersey.

Dogs can participate for $10 per pup. Humans are free! Guests can pay cash at the door, with all the money going towards Animal Outreach of Cape May County. A waiver is required upon arrival. All dogs must be well-behaved and friendly with other dogs. Guests are encouraged to bring their towels, with some available by the pool.
