PHILADELPHIA - Philly native and legendary singer Bobby Rydell have passed away. He was just weeks from turning 80. His death was not related to the Covid-19 incident. In the wake of his death, fans and friends have begun paying tribute to the legendary singer and South Philly native.


Philly native and legendary singer Bobby Rydell passed away at age 79. His childhood sweetheart, Camille, died in 2003. His children, Robert and Jennifer Dulin, and his wife Linda Hoffman are the only survivors. He was one of the first music idols of the 1950s and 1960s and had over thirty-four hits on the US Billboard chart. His first million-selling single was "We Got Love." He starred in the 1963 film "Bye Bye Birdie" and later appeared in several films, including that of Ann-Margret. His family has arranged funeral arrangements.
