PHILADEPHIA - A 32-year-old Philadelphia woman was shot multiple times while leaving a baby shower, authorities say. The shooting took place on the 6200 block of Palmetta Street. The mother, who was carrying her baby shower gifts, was pronounced dead at the hospital.


According to a neighbor, the homicide was not random and police are looking into the motive for the crime.  Philadelphia killing's this year is the most violent in recent years. The city's deputy police commissioner, Christine Coulter, told ABC station WPVI, "It was cowardly. of the gunman who targeted a woman who was carrying a baby.

The Pregnant woman was shot dead while leaving her baby shower with a bag of gifts. She was seven months pregnant and suffered multiple bullet wounds. The victim was taken to a hospital where doctors were unable to save the unborn child. The suspect has not been identified at this time. A reward of $50,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest.
