PHILADPHIA, PA - Streets Commissioner Carlton Williams announced an update on trash and recycling collections for the week of July 12th. Philadelphia residents should continue to put out their trash on their regular collection day.

However, delays should be residents expected as the Department adjusts its operations to deal this the ongoing increase of tonnage and staffing issues. Crews continued to work over the weekend in an attempt to catch up with delayed collections and return to a regular collection schedule.

Residents are encouraged to be mindful of what is being placed at the curb via our Curb Your Waste Campaign.

Updates on trash and recycling collections can be found at the streets department's website using the PickUpPHL tab. Sanitation Convenience Centers will remain open seven days a week, from Monday through Sunday, between the hours of 8AM to 6PM.
