PHILDAELPHIA - Forsythia, Chef Christopher Kearse’s acclaimed French restaurant and bar in Old City, is honoring the late culinary icon Chef Julia Child with its upcoming The French AF Series event titled Mastering the Art of French Cooking by Chef Julia Child on Wednesday, August 9.

The creative five-course dinner will showcase popular recipes native to the two-volume best-selling cookbook such as Soup Au Pistou, Quenelles de Poisson, and more, as well as offer optional wine pairings, curated and guided by Ray Gazdzinski of Vine Street Imports.

Mastering the Art of French Cooking by Chef Julia Child is the latest in an ongoing French-themed culinary series at Philadelphia’s pioneering, contemporary French bar and restaurant revered for constructing French-inspired cuisine with a modern twist. The French AF Series allows Kearse and his team the opportunity to experiment with a wide variety of classic French ingredients, techniques, and regions, while offering gastronomes an exclusive dining experience available for one night only. This installment of The French AF Series gives nod to Child and her vast array of French classics with Kearse presenting his take on five dishes found in the definitive cookbook.
