PHILADELPHIA - The fourth annual March Cheesesteak Madness is presented by PhillyBite Magazine & The Philadelphia Cheesesteak Adventure. Philadelphia's March Cheesesteak Madness, a 64-entry bracket-style tournament that mirrors college basketball, is available.
Online voting will complete the early rounds of this year's tournament. Phillybite.com will host the voting. The Final Four winners will also be selected by online voting. Judges will then eat and grade each cheesesteak. One March Cheesesteak Champion will be selected this year. Their name will forever be engraved on our Cheesy Cup! The Cheesey Cup will be displayed at the winner's establishment.

This tournament follows a bracket format. There are four regions for the 64 Cheesesteaks. These regions are: 1. The Philadelphia region. 2. The Delaware County, Delco region. 3. The NJ/DE region. 4. The remaining Philadelphia region county region. This area combines Chester, Montgomery and Berks cheesesteaks.
The selection process. It was much more difficult than I expected. I used my spreadsheet to sort cheesesteaks with scores of 90 or more. Each region was divided into 36 regions. This allowed for approximately the same number of cheesesteaks with scores 90 or higher. From 36 cheesesteaks per area, I needed to reduce that number to 16. Some well-deserving cheesesteaks did not make it to the big dance. There's always next year, sorry.
