Philadelphia, PA - The temperature is dropping, and the leaves are soon changing. What better way to celebrate Halloween than to visit one of the largest and most top-rated haunted attractions,  Pennhurst Asylum! Pennhurst offers overnight paranormal investigations, team paranormal investigations, daytime tours, site rentals, and three haunted house elements, including Pennhurst Asylum, The Morgue, and The Tunnels.

All of which presents a chilling, unforgettable experience. The doors of this frightening landmark will open on September 24, 2022, where you can spend an evening at the notable former mental health facility featured on A&E’s Ghost Hunters and Discovery+ Ghost Adventures.

The petrifying attraction was mentioned in season four of Netflix’s sci-fi horror series, Stranger Things. Series creators the Duffer Brothers introduce the Pennhurst Asylum to viewers of the Emmy-winning show. The asylum served as a fictitious location mimicking the Pennhurst State School and Hospital, where teenage sleuths of the show pretend to be female psychology students with motives to investigate the center.

Pennhurst offers a variety of attractions to give attendees a unique experience. The newest attraction, Mayflower After Dark, is a museum open for history and paranormal investigations. Guests will experience an array of Pennhurst artifacts that were left behind, taking them back to what life was like living with mental and emotional challenges.

Aside from the thrilling aspects of this haunted attraction, Pennhurst will be hosting major giveaways as part of a hiring initiative where employees can win prizes such as seven-night all-inclusive Royal Caribbean Cruises, 65' 4K TVs, surround sound systems, and merchandise at the end of the season. Employees enjoy complimentary trips to other haunted attractions during group outings with the Pennhurst staff and on-site pumpkin carving parties, pre-show potlucks, and ice cream socials.
