PHILADELPHIA - Tapster, a Chicago-based self-service bar concept, is moving to Philadelphia. The restaurant will open its Philadelphia outpost early next year in a 3,600-square-foot space at 110-16 South 16th Street. The new location is part of Tapster's planned national expansion. The company currently has locations in Chicago, Seattle, Cleveland, and Austin.

Tapster is a self-serve bar where patrons pour their own drinks from 57 taps. Guests are provided a card that is linked to their payment method. They are charged by the ounce, and each drink is priced differently based on the type of beer they choose. In addition, guests have a set limit for the amount of alcohol they consume.

Tapster is a unique concept in the restaurant industry. While other restaurants force you to drink an entire glass of wine, Tapster allows you to order and drink only the amount of wine or beer you want. Customers can also choose to have their drinks served by friendly staff members.

Tapster will also offer cocktails and other craft drinks. Guests can choose from 150 different beers and 25 different cocktail choices. This is a big step in changing the way people drink. The brewer hopes that it will change the way people think about drinking.
