PHILADELPHIA, PA  – Chef Christopher Kearse’s first ever installment of The French AF Series, titled La Fête du Foie, returns to Forsythia with a brand-new selection of five foie gras dishes incorporating hyper-local, seasonal ingredients on Wednesday, September 14. Imbibers can opt to pair each course with a curated collection of wine pairings and a themed craft cocktail, courtesy of Beverage Director Shawn Miller.

La Fête du Foie is the latest in an ongoing French-themed culinary series at Old City’s acclaimed contemporary French bar and restaurant. The French AF Series allows Kearse and his team to experiment with various classic French ingredients, regions, and techniques while offering food enthusiasts a one-of-a-kind, exclusive dining experience for one night only. This time around, the tailored prix fixe menu utilizes ingredients entirely sourced from local farms and purveyors to showcase how in line the Philadelphia restaurant scene is with this particular French delicacy.

“The turnout and reaction to our first ever foie gras event were spectacular, and we’re hoping to wow them even more with this late-summer/early fall rendition," said Chef Christopher Kearse. “We chose September for the second round of La Fête du Foie as a way to utilize a late summer Rolodex of flavors and ingredients – opposed to when we would traditionally feature the foie gras dinner during the winter months."

Guests partaking in the deluxe tasting menu can opt for wine pairings hand-picked by Beverage Director Shawn Miller for an additional $65/person. Forsythia’s La Fête du Foie Event is $90 plus tax and tip. Reservations are highly encouraged and can be made by clicking here.
