PHILADELPHIA - Located in the City of Brotherly Love, the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Parade is a more than a century-old tradition.  The annual event is filled with performers from across the region. In 2022, the parade will include a lot of special guests.

The Philadelphia Thanksgiving Parade will be held on November 24, 2022. It will begin at 8:30 am. Visitors will find giant floats, characters, and musical performances. It's also a good idea to bring blankets and other activities for kids.

If you can't make it to the parade, you can watch the event on TV or the Internet. The best places to watch it are along Benjamin Franklin Parkway, the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Academy of Natural Sciences. If you want to see the parade from a rooftop, the Assembly Rooftop Lounge on the ninth floor of the Logan Hotel is a good choice.

If you're planning to attend the parade, you'll want to get there early to guarantee the best viewing. You can also get a hotel room close to the parade route. The Embassy Suites and Le Meridien are two hotels within the area. You can also take the SEPTA Regional Rail.

A 1.4-mile route will take spectators from 20th Street and JFK Boulevard to 16th Street and Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The processional will start at 20th Street and JFK Boulevard and feature dozens of giant balloons.

The parade is followed by a musical performance by, The Spinners and C+C Music Factory to Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, Philadanco, Carson Kressley, Blue Man Group
