After several delays, Aejo Tequila will finally open its doors in Philadelphia on July 31, 2020. The restaurant will be located in the Northern Liberties neighborhood at the Piazza. The restaurant will feature an expansive mural by local artist Chiara Lattanzio. The mural shows a Jimador harvesting blue weber agave in Mexico. The restaurant's menu features an eclectic selection of agave spirits and a cocktail program centered on traditional Mexican fare. It will also be home to a bar with an extensive selection of mezcal and sotol. The restaurant will also feature seasonal produce and ten draft lines.
The bar will also host a special party on National Tequila Day. Combined with the restaurant's first anniversary, this party will feature tequila tastings, specialty cocktails, and drink deals.
