PHILADEPHIA, PA - The Giant Company continues to build its Philadelphia presence. The company's headquarters are in Carlisle, Pa., and it's expanding its footprint with new stores in Center City, South Philly, and the suburbs. A 50,000-square-foot store opened in March, and the company recently announced plans to open three more stores in the city. The latest of these stores opened on Nov. 12 at the corner of Spring Garden and North Broad streets.

In Philadelphia, the company will also open four new locations. A Giant Heirloom Market will be located at 801 Market St., which is 32,000 square feet. On South Broad Street, a 40,000square-foot store will be opened, and an additional four-6,000-square-foot store will open on Columbus Boulevard. A 200,000-square-foot warehouse will be built on North Broad Street.

The first store will be a flagship for the Giant Heirloom Markets. It will also feature a plant-based food section. In addition, the company will add a gluten-free section and a beer and wine eatery. It will be open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. The second location, which will be a redevelopment of the former Strawbridge's department store, will be a six-floor, 46,000square-foot concept. It will also have a beer and wine bar and a sushi bar.
